Introducing our new Drama teacher, Mr. Rahe!


Steven Rahe (pronounced Ray) is a theatre artist and educator from New Albany, Indiana. He joined Actors Theatre in 2008 as director of education, where he trains teaching artists, develops theatre education programming and teaches in a wide range of classrooms throughout the region. Locally, Steven has directed plays and musicals for Actors Theatre, Stage One Family Theatre and Squallis Puppeteers, amongst others. He lived in NYC for ten years, where he produced and directed contemporary plays as well as several world premieres. Steven currently is an adjunct professor teaching acting at Indiana University Southeast, and he is a Doris Duke Grant Recipient, which supported his membership in the 2013 James P. Shannon Leadership Institute. He earned his B.A. in English and theatre from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and his M.F.A. in theatre directing from the City University of New York’s Brooklyn College. He can’t wait to begin teaching at Western Middle – Go, Falcons!!
